In the exhibition ‘GEOMETRY OF DECADE – Nothing is for sale’, I present several projects in various artistic areas – namely in the plastic arts, video, photography and installation – that have come from my artistic career in the last ten years,

– «House: Absence of a body inhabited by memories».
– «What is Art ?: The place of art and the artist in contemporary times».
– «Monsieur Ferreira: The artist in the mediatization era».
– «Intervention: Acting with art».

In outlining the structure of the exhibition ‘GEOMETRY OF DECADE – Nothing is for sale’, I avoided the commonplace in which the beautiful is exalted or the reading of the exhibition and the works is determined. Rather than exposing a set of orderly, conceptually justified and strategically placed works, I propose a space integrated in the museum of the moving image, allowing the visitor to move freely, interact and explore the works presented.

This exhibition serves above all to make sure of my ability to survive in these artificially troubled times when opinion, having and power overlap with seeing, feeling, and thinking.

Na exposição ‘GEOMETRIA DA DECADÊNCIA – Nada está à venda’, apresento diversos projectos em várias áreas artísticas – nomeadamente nas artes plásticas, vídeo, fotografia e instalação –, resultantes do meu percurso artístico nos últimos dez anos, que abordam os seguintes temas:

– «Casa: Ausência de um corpo habitado pelas memórias».

– «What is Art?: O lugar da arte e do artista na contemporaneidade».

– «Monsieur Ferreira: O artista na era da mediatização».

– «Intervenção: Agir com arte».

Ao delinear a estrutura da exposição ‘GEOMETRIA DA DECADÊNCIA – Nada está à venda’, evitei o lugar-comum em que se exalta o belo ou se determina a leitura da exposição e das obras. Mais do que expor um conjunto de obras ordenadas, conceptualmente justificadas e estrategicamente colocadas, proponho um espaço integrado no m|i|mo – museu da imagem em movimento, que permita ao visitante movimentar-se, interagir e explorar livremente as obras apresentadas.

Esta exposição serve acima de tudo para me certificar da minha capacidade de sobrevivência nestes tempos artificialmente conturbados em que o parecer,  o ter e o poder sobrepõem-se  ao ver, ao sentir e ao pensar.

Dans l’exposition « GÉOMÉTRIE DÉCLIN – Rien est à vendre », je présente plusieurs projets dans divers domaines artistiques – en particulier dans les arts visuels, la vidéo, la photographie et l’installation – résultant dans ma carrière artistique au cours de la dernière décennie, qui portent sur les thèmes suivants:

 

– «Maison: Absence d’un corps habité par des souvenirs».
– «Qu’est-ce que l’art?: La place de l’art et de l’artiste à l’époque contemporaine».
– «Monsieur Ferreira: L’artiste à l’ère de la médiatisation».
– «Intervention: Agir avec l’art».

 

En décrivant la structure de l’exposition «GEOMETRIE DE LA DECENNIE – Rien n’est à vendre», j’ai évité le lieu commun dans lequel le beau est exalté ou la lecture de l’exposition et des œuvres est déterminée. Plutôt que d’exposer un ensemble d’œuvres ordonnées, conceptuellement justifiées et stratégiquement placées, je propose un espace intégré au musée de l’image en mouvement, permettant au visiteur de se mouvoir librement, d’interagir et d’explorer les œuvres présentées.

 

Cette exposition sert avant tout à assurer ma capacité à survivre dans ces moments artificiellement troublés où l’opinion, l’avoir et le pouvoir se superposent à voir, ressentir et penser.
